Blue Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking Medical Assistant to join a healthcare team in Lake Success, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands-on phlebotomy experience and be comfortable providing direct clinical support to patients and providers in a busy medical office environment. Key Responsibilities Obtain and document patient vital signs. Perform EKGs and prepare patients for cardiac testing. Perform phlebotomy and blood specimen collection safely and accurately. Properly identify and handle patient specimens according to established procedures. Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document relevant patient information. Prepare examination rooms and ensure necessary supplies are available. Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures. Perform and assist with patient testing according to established protocols. Assist with prescription requests and appropriately route requests to providers and clinical staff. Respond to patient messages and direct questions or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team member. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Follow infection-control and safety procedures. Keep clinical areas clean, organized, and stocked. Provide compassionate, professional, and respectful patient care. Required Qualifications Phlebotomy experience is required. Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, physician practice, or similar healthcare setting. Ability to obtain accurate vital signs. Experience performing or assisting with EKGs. Strong patient-care and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
