Team Overview:
As a Medical Assistant supporting Women's Health within our Acute Care Department, you will provide clinical and patient support to individuals seeking care for a variety of women's health concerns. Working under the supervision of healthcare providers, you will assist with patient care, clinical procedures, documentation, and care coordination while contributing to a positive and supportive patient experience.

Work Hours:
2 days per week to start 5:00 PM - 10 PM Opportunity for the position to transition to full-time based on departmental needs and business requirements
Position Overview:
Patient-Centered Care:
Support the delivery of individualized patient care by identifying patient needs, obtaining relevant medical histories and information, and assisting healthcare providers in prioritizing care based on clinical needs and urgency.
Support Women's Health Services:
Assist healthcare providers with the evaluation and treatment of women's health concerns, including preparing patients for examinations and procedures and providing appropriate support and education under provider direction.
Clinical Excellence:
Perform clinical duties including obtaining vital signs, preparing examination rooms, assisting with procedures, conducting diagnostic testing, and collecting and processing specimens in accordance with established protocols.
Facilitate Communication and Coordination:
Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team by communicating relevant patient information, assisting with referrals and follow-up needs, and helping promote continuity of care.
Accurate Documentation:
Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation within eClinicalWorks (EMR), ensuring that clinical information is recorded in accordance with organizational standards and applicable regulations.
Maintain Clinical Standards:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment. Follow infection control and safety protocols, properly clean and sterilize equipment and instruments, and maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.
Patient Education and Support:
Provide patients with appropriate education and instructions as directed by healthcare providers, while demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and respect for each patient's individual needs.
Professional Development and Adaptability:
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new clinical skills, procedures, and workflows. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with providers and other members of the healthcare team to support efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a strong commitment to a team dynamic as well as the ability to take initiative. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills as well as an ability to effectively relate to all medical staff and patients. Must possess a strong work ethic. Comprehension and deductive reasoning Ability to learn new techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months as a Medical Assistant and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Medical Terminology CPR certified a plus Phlebotomy a plus
Pay & Benefits:
