Infusion Services Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a dual role in our infusion center, providing both clinical support and administrative assistance . This position is essential to maintaining smooth daily operations, supporting nursing staff and providers, and ensuring a positive patient experience from check-in to discharge. Clinical Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs prior to infusion treatments Assist nurses and providers during infusion procedures as needed Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing (if trained/required) Monitor patients and report changes or concerns to nursing staff Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment Restock supplies and assist with inventory management Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines Administrative Responsibilities Greet and check in patients Schedule infusion appointments and coordinate follow-up visits Manage phone calls, patient messages Enter and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) Assist with documentation Coordinate with providers and pharmacies Maintain accurate records and support daily clinic workflow Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current MA certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Prior experience in an infusion center, specialty clinic, or medical office preferred Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills Comfortable balancing clinical care with front-office and administrative duties CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
