Job Description
About the Position A growing healthcare company is seeking an experienced, reliable, and skilled Per Diem Medical Assistant to provide in-home patient care throughout Sullivan County, including: Liberty Monticello Ellenville South Fallsburg Surrounding areas This is a traveling, on-the-road position. Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be comfortable traveling independently between patient homes. Candidates must be available to start as soon as possible. This position is currently needed through approximately August 31 , with the possibility of continuing year-round in nearby areas based on company needs, availability, and performance. Schedule Per diem | Shifts available as needed Available operating hours may include:
Sunday:
10:00 AM-11:00PM Monday-Thursday:
10:00 AM-11:00PM Friday:
Approximately 10:00 AM-7:00 PM Candidates should have flexible availability, including evenings, Sundays, Fridays, and occasional weekend shifts. Responsibilities Travel independently to patients' homes Obtain and accurately document vital signs Perform throat and nasal swabs Complete urine testing, cultures, and specimen collection Perform rapid testing as ordered Upload complete and accurate visit documentation Communicate professionally with patients, families, providers, and Dispatch Follow all patient-care procedures and company protocols Maintain patient confidentiality Provide caring, calm, and professional service during every visit Blood-draw experience, especially pediatric phlebotomy experience, is strongly preferred but not required. Requirements Strong previous Medical Assistant experience is required Primary care or urgent care experience is required Must be comfortable completing patient visits independently Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle Comfortable traveling between patient homes Comfortable working with children and families Strong communication and customer-service skills Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable using a tablet and mobile applications Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Evening and weekend availability preferredPay and Benefits Pay:
