Responsibilities Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, patient intake, and assisting with procedures across specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, and urgent care. Support patient care by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting providers during examinations and treatments. Collect specimens for laboratory testing, including phlebotomy procedures, and manage sample labeling and documentation. Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems; ensure all documentation complies with privacy regulations and coding standards like ICD coding. Administer medications and injections following established protocols while monitoring patients' responses. Manage administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and updating patient information in medical office management systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine settings, including Level I Trauma Centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR environments when needed. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Proven experience in medical office settings with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and ICD coding. Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and electronic medical records (EMR). Familiarity with outpatient, inpatient, hospital medicine, or emergency care environments such as urgent care clinics or trauma centers. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations. Ability to perform clinical procedures including vital signs collection, medication administration, phlebotomy, and specimen handling efficiently. Knowledge of medical documentation standards and proficiency in managing medical records securely. Experience working within dermatology clinics or geriatrics is a plus; familiarity with hospital experience or Level I Trauma Center procedures is advantageous.
