Job Description

Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English At least 6 months in a private physician or ambulatory care practice setting preferred. Excellent communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish - translation duties may be required. Computer experience and other related office machinery. Knowledge of EMR preferred. License/Certifications Medical Assistant Certificate or Venipuncture and EKG Certifications. BLS certification preferred Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Frequent, prolonged standing, walking, lifting, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients. Ability to lift 25lbs. Ability to bend, reach, and retrieve files. Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time. Lifts, positions and/or transfers patients/equipment. Ability to work in confined areas. Frequent telephone usage.
