Job Description

We are a multi-site Primary Care medical group with doctors across Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. Our doctors have been working together for 5+ years and now have merged their practices to secure their future as independent physicians. We are looking for Medical Assistants to work in our Oceanside location.

Job Summary:
Our Medical Assistants will be trained to work to the highest level of their certification and will be an integral part of the primary care patient team. You will work with the doctors on prepping visits to make sure patients receive all their preventive care and disease related testing (A1c for diabetics, lab work for kidney disease patients etc) You will help the doctors enter their quality measures into the reporting software, and will follow-up on gaps. Of course you will also perform traditional Medical Assistant functions of interviewing the patient for reason for the visit, recording patient concerns, verifying medications, performing initial physical tests such as BP & Weight and blood draws, EKGs and making the patient feel like this is really their "medical home".
Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant Strong customer service skills to make patients comfortable, cared for and listened to --- you never forget a patient's name or their story Strong organizational skills and ability to help us all get through busy days and unexpected events with a smile on our face Strong desire to stay with our company and help the doctors grow their care center and become the #1 medical group for primary care Savvy tech skills to navigate EMR, Physician Portal, Telehealth, and Remote Patient Monitoring (we use Athena Health EMR!) Strong back office skills, but equal ability to help work the front office duties as needed (eligibility, patient appointments, copays/deductibles etc) Please send resume!
