70 We are seeking a versatile Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. This role is central to our ambulatory health delivery system, focusing on preventive care, health maintenance, and providing an exceptional patient experience in a safe, efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Support:
Assist nurses and clinical staff with daily operations, including rooming patients and capturing accurate vital signs.
Technical Procedures:
Perform essential clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and basic diagnostic testing.
Care Coordination:
Manage patient phone calls and handle referral and tracking processes to ensure continuity of care.
Flexible Operations:
Support various health centers as needed (floating) and adapt to a flexible schedule including rotating weekends.
Patient Safety:
Deliver care consistent with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience.
Certifications:
  • Current BLS Certification required.
Valid Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
Licensure:
Valid NYS Driver's License (required for travel between centers).
Skills:
Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
Physical:
Ability to bend, lift, stand, and walk for the duration of the shift.
Schedule & Availability Hours:
Shifts range between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm based on operational needs.
Weekends:
Flexibility to work weekends on a rotational basis is required.
