Medical Assistant - Urgent Care We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical environment while providing excellent patient care and customer service. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints Prepare patients for examination and assist providers with procedures Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, specimen collection, rapid testing, and basic clinical procedures Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain infection control standards Document accurately in the EMR Assist with front desk duties as needed including registration, insurance verification, and phone calls Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a positive patient experience Qualifications Previous experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or pediatrics preferred Strong multitasking and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment EMR experience preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices BLS certification preferred What We're Looking For Team player with strong work ethic Professional and compassionate attitude Ability to stay calm and efficient during busy shifts Willingness to learn and grow within the practice Competitive pay based on experience.
