•Assignment type: Travel
•temporary Responsibilities Perform gross examination and dissection of large/complex specimens and small biopsies Cut and stain frozen sections as needed Provide macroscopic descriptions of specimens Triage fresh tissue for lymphoma workups (flow cytometry) Identify glomeruli for medical renal cores Prepare tissues for histologic processing and sectioning Float within the lab as needed within the PA scope of practice Support a team consisting of four pathologists and roughly six histotechnologists Manage a typical workload of about 200 blocks per day, with specimens including heavy breast resections, uterus, lung, colon resections, and small biopsies Requirements New York State PA license active at submission and start date ASCP-PA certification Minimum 1 year of Pathology Assistant experience (travel experience preferred) Experience in surgical pathology with heavy breast service Epic charting experience required Ability to float within the hospital as needed to support the PA duties Benefits and Support Travel assignment in a hospital setting Mon-Fri schedule with no weekends or on-call Competitive weekly pay range as listed Ongoing recruiter support throughout the assignment Start around 01/04/2027 with an approximate 4-month duration Epic charting system used for documentation Find more opportunities If you would like to explore other openings available at Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.
