Qualifications:
BA/BS preferred. (3) years of experience working with people with ID/DD. (1) year of Self-Direction experience required; (3) years preferred. Knowledge of New York State and OPWDD regulations including
NYCRR 14
Part 624, 625, & 633 The Justice Center, and quality assurance and compliance practices. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to demonstrate both critical thinking skills and reliability in decision-making. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Well-developed team skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence and presence to effectively handle sensitive issues. Valid NYS Driver's License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards. Maintain valid insurance and provide insurance card if you use your own vehicle. Vero Requirements Physical/Cognitive:
Sitting and/or computer use for an extended period of time. Demonstrated interest and ability to facilitate the desired outcomes of the individuals served, while adhering to agency standards and policies, as well as state regulations. Maintain training and certification in all required areas. Ability to remain calm in stressful or demanding situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Quality Assurance Essential Functions:
Collaborate with the Director of Independent Services and the Compliance Officer on Self-Direction Quality and Compliance. Routinely complete and present self-direction quality assurance internal reviews. Complete and present compliance reviews. Maintain knowledge of regulations and assist with ensuring agency compliance, while adhering to the mission of the agency. Accurately interpret policies, procedures and regulations as applicable and apply them in accordance with person-centered philosophies. Assist in acquiring required documentation
Other Duties:
Special projects as assigned. Attend professional meetings and trainings as requested. Committee membership as assigned. Any and all other duties as requested by the Director of Independent Services, Compliance Officer or designee.
