Experience in a medical office, wellness practice, IV therapy, hormone therapy, or med spa setting is a plus, but we are willing to consider the right candidate who is motivated to learn. Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support in this outpatient setting, assisting physicians and healthcare providers with a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a smooth patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of medical documentation and safety. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Assist healthcare providers during procedures by preparing necessary instruments, supplies, and medications. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws). Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient encounters, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Conduct patient intake processes, including verifying insurance information, updating medical histories, and explaining treatment plans. Support medical office management through answering the phone, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, and coordinating follow-up care. Assist with injections and IV therapy as appropriate Perform body-composition testing Maintain supplies and inventory Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols. Qualifications Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards is preferred. Experience doing phlebotomy Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology and pharmacology. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across varied populations. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team within fast-paced clinical settings.
