Medical Assistant Dr. William Belles MD,PC Tonawanda, NY Job Details Part-time $19 - $20 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Vital signs Medication charting Medical scheduling Medical Assisting Patient charting Faxing Time management Full Job Description As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Office days are Monday starting at 11:30am, Tuesday starting at 1:30, and Thursday starting at 10:15am. Office hours conclude once the last patient is seen and all end of day tasks are completed which can vary between 8:00pm - 10:30pm. Responsibilities Room and prepare patients for examination Measure and record vital signs Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Entering patient information into EMR Assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant (1 year - highly advantageous) Previous ENT experience is a plus Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work within a team in a fast paced environment Familiar with HIPPA and EMR Degree in medical assisting (Advantageous, but not required with experience)
