Medical Assistant (Epic EMR Required) | $22/hr | Westbury or Mineola, NY New York Comprehensive Medical Care (NYCMC) is a growing multi-specialty medical group seeking a dedicated, experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. You'll be based at one office, either our Westbury or our Mineola location, whichever works better for you. We are looking for a committed professional with a stable work history who is ready to grow with us long-term.

EPIC EMR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Please do not apply if you do not have hands-on Epic experience.

$22.00 per hour

What You'll Do:

• Room and prepare patients for physician evaluation; obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR
• Assist physicians with office procedures and patient care activities
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry, and other diagnostic testing as needed
• Coordinate and schedule diagnostic testing and referrals
• Process prior authorizations and insurance verifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked exam room
• Provide compassionate, professional care to patients at all times

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on Epic EMR experience
• this is a hard requirement
• Active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of direct Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting
• Stable work history
• candidates with frequent short-term job changes (less than 1 year per role) will not be considered
• Experience in primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine preferred
• Availability to work at either our Westbury or Mineola office; willingness to occasionally cover the other site is a plus, not a requirement
• BLS/CPR certification (current or ability to obtain)
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
