The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical procedures, medical documentation, and patient service. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Duties:
Receive and direct patient phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients Check in and Check-out patients, collecting payments, verifying insurance, registering patients and update and maintain correct patient data, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history Set-up biopsies, administer injections of local anesthesia, and perform routine specimen collection and tests Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments Assist dermatologist with medical treatments, procedures, and exams; must be capable of using an electronic medical record system and be able to scribe for physicians Manage office and medical supply inventory and perform other duties assigned Ability to handle billing processes such as collection of copays and other fees Facilitate communication between patients and providers to ensure clarity of instructions and follow-up care. Experience Experience in general dermatology and/or dermatologic surgery is a plus Demonstrated proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) management and medical documentation practices. Hands-on experience with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, vital signs measurement, and specimen handling is a plus. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments while maintaining attention to detail.
