ABOUT US
: The Last Page is a unique destination where guests can drop in at the bar for a crafted cocktail, stop in for a quick lunch or lounge at a booth with friends over an extended meal. Our menu consists of signature dishes, reimagined by our Chefs with a focus on comfort and nostalgia. Our captivating design and focused hospitality will leave you wanting to start and end your day at The Last Page. Summary The Steward is the liaison between the front and heart of house. The Steward ensures a smooth and timely delivery of food from the kitchen to the guest in the dining room or patio. The Steward acts as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff, communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies) and updating the kitchen on the status of the dining room. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assist Servers 2. Deliver food orders to a variety of customers in a timely manner. 3. Accurately explain food orders to chefs, with specific attention to allergies and special requests. 4. Help the wait staff set up tables by placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, decorations, and napkins. 5. Uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles. 6. Occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues. 7. Remove dirty dishes from the table. 8. Inform management on customer feedback. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas with guests and all areas of the restaurant.
  • Ability to positively adapt to change in a highly dynamic work environment.
  • Team oriented with a professional, enthusiastic and friendly demeanor.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a continuously changing paced work environment. Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to carry several plates at one time
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Ability to stay professional in a stressful work environment.
  • Superb multitasking skills.
  • Available to work different hours including weekends, days and nights.
  • Restaurant experience a plus.
