The practice is dedicated to providing exceptional clinical care with a personalized, boutique-style experience. Job Overview The aesthetic MA is a key team player in our mission to provide the highest standard of care and service to our patients; and ensures that the patients' experience with our practice is seem-less and exceptional from start to finish. Responsibilities The Aesthetic Medical Assistant is responsible for the following: Main job duties: Greets each patient warmly and sincerely Prepares patients for physician examination (i.e. taking a history, performing a basic exam of vision, assist in documentation) Assist in in-office surgical procedures and patient care under the supervision of our plastic surgeon. Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take medical histories and vital signs. Anticipates and fulfills the needs of each patient in a timely manner. Treats each patient respectfully, thoughtfully, and graciously at all times. Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform routine equipment checks. Ensure the cleanliness and preparedness of the examination rooms and surgical rooms. Cleaning and sterilizing of instruments Cleaning of exam rooms between patients Perform opening and closing duties per practice protocol Support scheduling, coordination, and patient communication as needed Protects the privacy of patients at all times Other duties: May interact with insurance companies by phone or electronically regarding pre-authorizations, coverage, and billing, and other related activities Performs check-in and check-out of patients Schedules office and surgical visits accurately Inputs and accesses data in practice management and appointment scheduling system Explains financial and cancellation policies and cost estimates for out-of-pocket procedures to patients Process payment transactions Performs patient intake and inputs patient information into the electronic medical record system May cross train to perform other duties as necessary to support operations of the practice Qualifications Must have high school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a medical office or surgical setting beneficial Prior experience in customer service preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems. A compassionate approach to patient care.
