Job Description
Position Summary Our growing pediatric practice is seeking a compassionate, reliable Medical Assistant to join our team. This position provides both clinical and administrative support to pediatric patients under the direction of a provider and/or licensed nurse. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and families while delivering excellent patient care and customer service. Responsibilities Communicate professionally and effectively with providers, patients, families, and colleagues. Collect patient information and assess patient needs under the direction of the provider or nurse. Accurately communicate patient information and concerns to providers and nursing staff through verbal communication, written documentation, and the EPIC electronic medical record system. Perform front-office responsibilities, including patient scheduling, visit preparation, co-payment collection, and patient tracking. Collect, process, and prepare laboratory specimens. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, performing hearing and vision screenings, and assisting with other clinical procedures. Maintain exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are stocked according to office policies and procedures. Complete routine administrative tasks, including copying, scanning, filing, and data entry. Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and office operations.
