Job Description

This part-time Medical Assistant position is located at the South Campus in the Community Based Pediatrics department, working 24 hours per week with varied hours, Monday through Friday. The role involves both clinical and clerical responsibilities, including: Performing routine patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, weight, and height, and assisting with procedures Documenting all patient interactions accurately in EPIC to support timely provider notes and encounter closures Managing patient flow, chaperoning, room stocking, and ordering tests and supplies Delegating appropriate tasks to RNs, nurse practitioners, or physicians Collaborating with department staff to ensure efficient patient care and excellent customer service Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assisting program, and CPR certification (preferred at hire, must be obtained within 2 weeks). The schedule consists of 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with hours varying.
