Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team. As a MA, you will play a crucial role in providing both clinical and administrative support, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in our clinic. You will work closely with our physician and other medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and nurses with patient exams and procedures, including preparing patients, taking vital signs, and collecting samples. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician or nurse practitioner. Document patient information accurately in the electronic health records system. Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Manage patient inquiries, prescription refills or referrals Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, insurance verification, assisting with prior authorization requirements, billing or coding needs. Track lab results, coordinate referrals, and communicate with other healthcare providers as needed. Perform CLIA waived procedures that are within the scope of practice.
Qualifications:
At least 1 full year of full-time experience as an MA BLS certified (preferred but not required) Both clinical and administration skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Compensation:
• Hours per week: 24 •
Scheduled:
Three days a week (days fluctuate) from 9 AM to 5 PM with a 30-minute lunch break • Pay rate will be based off experience but range from $17 - $22 an hour • Compensation can be negotiated
