Job Description

MEDICAL ASSISTANT
  • 12 Hour Shifts
  • Urgent Care Clinic Medical Assistants are needed for a full time opportunities at CareFirst Urgent Care location in Mason. Should have Medical Assistant training including administering injections, EKG, venipuncture, vitals, etc. This position is offering full time hours, working 3 shifts each week. This position requires 12 hour shifts (8am
  • 8pm) and every other weekend
  • no exceptions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing all required testing. Must be able to administer injections, perform EKG's, venipuncture. Responsible for specimen handling, processing specimen for lab transport, and results reporting. Clean and stock examination and supply rooms. Follow infection control practices and HIPAA regulations at all times. Reliable attendance. May be required to assist front desk receptionist with check-ins, phone lines, medical records, co-pays, and more. Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS HS
diploma or GED equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program in the state of employment. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced urgent care setting. 1+ year of medical experience is required. Accommodating, compassionate towards patients, attentive listener. Experience with computers and data entry. Ability to work and communicate in a professional manner at all times.
