Medical Assistant FASCO (Foot and Ankle Specialists of Central Ohio)
Location:
Newark, Ohio Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other members of the health care team by gathering patient medical history and other vital medical information into our EMR system. They will make sure to use customer service skills and display professionalism to treat our patients with the utmost quality of care.Job Function and Duties:
Greet patients promptly and courteously Perform duties under the supervision and direction of the physician Provide patient instruction as directed by the physician Triage patients as needed Complete patient paperwork and enter information into the EMR at the time of encounter Update medical records Answer phones, schedule appointments, clean and stock exam rooms Create/Transfer orders Other tasks assigned to you from managementRequired Skills & Abilities:
HIPAA and OSHA knowledge and Compliance preferred (will train if not knowledgeable) Medical office experience preferred but not required (on-site training available) Must be professional and courteous Excellent communication skills Organizational skills Ability to work with a team or independently Must be knowledgeable with computers Must be willing to get your GXMO license to take X-rays (we will help you to obtain license)Schedule and Related Information:
Work schedule is Monday through Friday no Weekends Travel to other locations may be occasionally necessaryBenefits
