Responsibilities:

• Collect patient insurance, payments and schedule appointments
• Attention to detail is a must
• Phlebomoty experience is a plus but not required
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
• Scan documents and communicate with physicians or providers
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff
• Handle and dispose of biohazardous materials according to established guidelines

Skills:

• Laser focused on details and time management
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance
• Familiarity with clinical laboratory procedures and equipment
• Ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to be a leader

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• Certification as a phlebotomist preferred, but not required
• Prior experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is a plus
