Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The Medical Assistant plays an important role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive exceptional care throughout their visit. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, has excellent organizational and communication skills, and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care. The ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively as part of a team is essential. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Obtain and document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and vital signs. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, biopsies, and other dermatologic treatments. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Prepare and maintain examination and procedure rooms. Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and postoperative patient care. Provide patients with instructions regarding medications, treatments, wound care, and follow-up appointments. Obtain and properly label and handle specimens as directed. Take and document clinical photographs as needed. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care. Communicate with patients by phone and through electronic messaging as needed. Maintain inventory and stock clinical supplies. Keep exam rooms clean, organized, and properly stocked. Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards. Work collaboratively with providers and fellow clinical staff to provide an exceptional patient experience. Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification required. Current CPR certification required. Previous Medical Assistant experience required. Dermatology experience strongly preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management software preferred. Strong computer skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
