This is a full time position. Job duties for this position include: Performing selected nursing and administrative duties including assisting physicians as part of the clinical care team Conducting pre-visit planning by reviewing patient medical records prior to new patient appointments and requesting medical records as needed Creating, maintaining, copying and filing patient records both electronically and manually Preparing patients for examination and treatment by the physician by escorting patients to the exam room, taking accurate patient histories, medication lists and vital signs Collect urine samples from patients Formulate and update patient care plans and posts test and examination results to the patient record Administer medications/injections as needed in accordance with nursing standards Travel to off-site satellite clinics as needed Inventory and ordering of medical supplies Stocking and cleaning exam rooms, laboratory (including biohazard sharps) and bathrooms Laundry as needed Maintaining strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA privacy practices Treating patients, visitors, physicians, and staff with dignity and respect Performing other related work as required Requirements for this position include: A Medical Assistant certification is not required but preferred At least 2 years of MA experience in a Specialty field is required At least 1 year of
