Job Description
Dermatology Associates in Tigard is hiring for an experienced and reliable Medical Assistant to assist in MOHs surgical procedures. Certification preferred but not required. We are looking for a reliable individual who is a self-starter and understands how to work as a team player. Dermatology and Mohs Surgery experience are preferred . MOHs MA Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care offered to patients and for the provider Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures Assures sterile process, clinical policies and procedures are followed. Assist physician in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines Understand the provider to patient flow and anticipate the provider's next steps to the best of their ability Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order Tracks and informs the patient of laboratory test results and any follow up as directed by the physician Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed Knowledge in OSHA and HIPAA compliance Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested Required qualifications for this position include: Prior experience working in a dermatology Mohs surgery•preferred
