In this vital role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while supporting medical staff with essential clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Collect patient information, and perform intake procedures to prepare for provider consultations. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks including phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration support, and basic life support (BLS) procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation by updating patient records, coding diagnoses with ICD codes, and ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow in outpatient or inpatient settings such as Geriatrics or PICU environments. Handle administrative duties like answering phones, managing patient inquiries, coordinating referrals, and maintaining organized medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred; experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is advantageous. Knowledge of basic medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, is essential. willing to train the right person- additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medical assisting are a plus. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence and the ability to handle sensitive information professionally. Familiarity with primary care, integrative care or functional medicine experience doenhance your ability to work in this office Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments like emergency departments or outpatient clinics while maintaining attention to detail.
