For more than 35 years, the PINE physician practice has provided advanced treatment of kidney and endocrine diseases. The practice has over 33 providers as of August 2024, across more than 14 convenient office locations in Allegheny and Washington counties. Job Overview We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support our Nephrologists, Endocrinologist and Advanced Practitioners in delivering exceptional patient care. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with patient data management, engaging patients in their care, and ensuring effective communication within the care team. Responsibilities Assists assigned physician(s) with patient care including obtaining and documenting patient vital signs and relaying physician instructions to patients and their families. May assist three providers. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. This may include (but not be limited to) accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc. Checks physician schedules and coordinates patient flow to ensure on-time clinic schedules. Updates patient Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Epic experience preferred. Maintains supplies and cleanliness of exam rooms. Complies with all applicable OSHA, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, as well applicable practice policies and procedures. Answers phones, schedules patient appointments, and assists with co-pay collections, as necessary, and delivers the highest levels of service excellence at all times. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant Medical Assistant Certification Required or must be able to obtain within the first 60 days of employment. Preferred Qualifications Ability to travel between clinic locations required. Comfort with EMRs and practice systems such as pMD and EPIC.
