Job Description

JDC Pediatrics has a medical assistant position open for a Pre-Med student that is taking a gap year (you plan to go to PA or medical school). LPN will also be considered. You will be paid while earning valuable experience working hands on with patients, families, physicians, and staff. This opportunity allows Pre-Med Gap Year students to develop a working knowledge of pediatrics and develop a working relationship with staff and physicians. We can offer a 36 - 40 hour work week, a generous PTO package, profit sharing and a fun and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Interview patients and document basic medical history Obtain and document vitals Prepare, document and administer vaccines Organize and schedule appointments Update medical records Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services Prepare for and assist during medical examinations Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Triage Required skills: Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize Social perceptiveness and service-oriented Excellent written and verbal communication Strong organizational and planning ability Certification in medical assistance

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per week
