Job Description

We would love the opportunity to have you join the Keystone Allergy and Asthma Center family.
Responsibilities:
Escorts patients to exam rooms or treatment rooms, or other areas as directed.
Performs patient intake:
takes vitals, interviews patients to verifies medication, allergies, and pharmacy, obtains screening questionnaires after completion, prepares patients for examination as appropriate for appointment type. Enters all intake data promptly into patient chart note / EHR. Administering subcutaneous and intramuscular injections Become comfortable with allergic responses and prescribed protocol (emergency drugs, asthma drugs, etc.) - will be reviewed and trained with physician on monthly basis Performing skin prick testing, ear lavages, pulmonary function testing Mixing allergen extract for allergy shot prescriptions - after competency proven Preparing oral immunotherapy treatments and help with dosing May perform a variety of administrative/clerical duties, scheduling patient appointments, pre-certifying procedures, getting visit prior-authorization and referrals, check in and checkout of patients, answering patient phones by collecting data to forward to the physician for triage Work closely under supervision with a physician Close the office each day and maintain bathroom cleanliness, according to protocol. Maintain electronic medical records, and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain soon after hire (company will pay) Certified Medical Assistant from an approved training program experience in the patient care setting in a medical clinic Attention to detail and interpersonal and computer skills

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
