Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers and ensure exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a Podiatrist healthcare setting while making a meaningful difference in patient lives. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical history and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of medical records, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical records Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control practices specific to hospital or outpatient settings Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management for accurate documentation Experience with phlebotomy techniques and specimen handling in inpatient or outpatient settings Familiarity with medical assisting practices across various specialties such as surgical or medical-surgical units Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and records management Join us as a Clinical Medical Assistant where your skills will directly impact patient care quality!
