Job Description

Medical Assistant - Podiatry We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our busy podiatry practice supporting one provider . The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care while ensuring smooth daily clinical and administrative operations. This position offers a variety of responsibilities with opportunities to expand your skills, including assisting with in-office procedures and surgeries.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patients and perform check-in/check-out duties. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and patient intake information. Prepare patients for examinations and assist the provider during office visits. Clean and sanitize exam rooms between patients while maintaining infection control standards. Schedule appointments, answer phones, and perform general receptionist duties. Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and other patient care documentation. Provide direct patient care and education as directed by the provider. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR). Stock and organize exam rooms and medical supplies. Assist with in-office procedures and surgeries, with training provided as needed. Perform other clinical and administrative duties to support the practice.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required with relevant experience. Previous experience in a medical office; podiatry or surgical experience is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to work independently while supporting a single-provider practice. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude. Pay:
$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
