Medical Assistant / Clinical Assistant - Part-Time (24 Hours/Week)
Location:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our practice in Hermitage. This role offers a balanced, part-time schedule while providing comprehensive, patient-centered care alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The Role You will play a vital part in the patient journey, performing a blend of clinical and administrative duties. From the initial "rooming" process to assisting with procedures and managing medical records, you will ensure our patients receive the exceptional service Southwoods is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Excellence:
Room patients efficiently, verify identities, and record vital signs, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
Specimen Management:
Collect, process, and prepare lab specimens for transport, ensuring strict adherence to identification and storage protocols.
Communication:
Promptly report critical lab values and adverse reactions to the physician and care team.
Administrative Support:
Manage appointment scheduling, handle phone inquiries, and maintain medical records.
Patient Advocacy:
Maintain a welcoming environment while upholding patient rights and regulatory compliance.
The Schedule Hours:
Part-time, 24 hours per week.
Days:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Qualifications Experience:
1+ years of direct patient care experience.
Diverse Backgrounds Welcome:
We actively seek candidates with experience as an STNA, Phlebotomist, CNA, or Pharmacy Tech.
Education:
Medical Assistant schooling is a plus, but we welcome all candidates with relevant healthcare experience.
Skills:
