Job Description

Advanced Foot & Ankle Wellness Center is a busy, modern podiatry and sports medicine practice in King of Prussia seeking an experienced, dependable Medical Assistant who enjoys hands-on patient care and wants to develop specialized clinical skills. This is not a position where you simply room patients. Our Medical Assistant works closely with the physician throughout the entire patient visit—from preparing the patient and assisting with treatment to making sure the physician's recommendations are carried through at the end of the appointment. Our office moves quickly, so we're looking for someone who can multitask, prioritize, take initiative, and follow responsibilities through to completion while providing an excellent patient experience.
What You'll Do:
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories Prepare patients and treatment rooms for examinations and procedures Assist the physician with injections, nail and wart procedures, minor office surgery, and other in-office treatments Assist with digital X-rays Scan/cast patients for custom orthotics Fit and dispense CAM boots, braces, orthotics, diabetic shoes, compression products, and other DME Complete DME paperwork, ABNs, waivers, and related documentation accurately Clean, sterilize, and autoclave instruments Turn over and restock treatment rooms Maintain clinical supplies and inventory Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation Patient Education & Treatment Coordination A key part of this position is helping patients understand and follow through with the physician's treatment recommendations.
You will:
Review physician-recommended next steps with patients Explain treatment services and packages clearly and professionally Discuss pricing, payment expectations, and out-of-pocket services Answer basic patient questions regarding treatment costs and what is included Help coordinate recommended treatments, procedures, DME, orthotics, imaging, referrals, and follow-up appointments Ensure patients know what they need to do next before leaving the office Communicate outstanding items to the appropriate team member and help ensure they are followed through to completion You should be comfortable discussing money with patients in a professional, confident, and non-pressuring manner. Team Support We are a small specialty practice, so teamwork is important. When needed, the Medical Assistant may also help with: Patient check-in/check-out Scheduling Collecting copays, balances, and payments Scanning and uploading documents Other basic front-office responsibilities You may be a great fit if you: Have prior Medical Assistant or direct patient-care experience Enjoy a busy, fast-paced medical office Can manage multiple patients and responsibilities without losing attention to detail Are able to determine what needs to be done next and prioritize appropriately Stay calm and organized when several things need attention at once Take initiative rather than waiting to be told every next step Own tasks through completion rather than assuming someone else will handle them Communicate confidently and professionally with patients Are comfortable discussing treatment costs and financial responsibility Work well with both clinical and front-office team members Are dependable, punctual, and consistent Want a long-term position where you can learn additional clinical skills Medical Assistant experience is preferred. Experience in podiatry, orthopedics, sports medicine, DME, digital X-ray, or another specialty medical practice is a plus.
