Job Description

Advanced Foot & Ankle Wellness Center is a modern, patient-focused podiatry and sports medicine practice dedicated to helping patients stay active, healthy, and pain-free. We are seeking a dependable, motivated Medical Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients and is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with our practice. This position is primarily a clinical Medical Assistant role with occasional front desk responsibilities. No podiatry experience is required—we provide structured training for the right candidate. If you have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enjoy learning new skills, we'd love to meet you. Primary Responsibilities Welcome patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories, and document in the electronic medical record Assist the physician with examinations and office procedures Assist with nail procedures, wart treatments, injections, regenerative medicine procedures, and minor office surgeries Dispense and properly fit CAM boots, braces, orthotics, diabetic shoes, compression stockings, and other durable medical equipment (DME) Complete DME paperwork, ABNs, and other required documentation accurately Cast or digitally scan patients for custom orthotics (training provided) Assist with digital X-rays (or become certified after hire) Clean, sterilize, and autoclave instruments Prepare, clean, and stock treatment rooms Monitor and maintain clinical inventory and supplies Educate patients on physician-recommended treatment plans and products Maintain accurate documentation and electronic medical records Front Office Responsibilities (As Needed) Check patients in and out Schedule appointments Collect copays and patient balances Verify insurance information Scan documents into the electronic medical record Assist with general administrative duties Schedule Must be available during patient hours:

11:30 AM•7:30
PM Wednesday:
7:30 AM•3:00
PM Friday:
7:30 AM•3:00 PM Every other
Thursday:
7:30 AM•2:00 PM Qualifications Medical Assistant experience preferred but not required We are willing to train the right candidate Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable using computers and electronic medical records Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to learn High School Diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications Experience in podiatry, orthopedics, or another medical specialty Experience fitting or dispensing DME Digital X-ray certification (or willingness to obtain after hire) Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally Carry up to 25 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive hand movements Ability to assist patients safely when needed What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Wants a career , not just another job Enjoys helping patients Takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail Is dependable and punctual Works well as part of a team Is eager to learn new skills and accepts coaching Brings a positive attitude to work every day
Pay:
