Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current symptoms Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for procedures Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when needed Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and handling administrative tasks Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards Facilitate patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-visit instructions to promote optimal health outcomes Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant with valid certification from an accredited program Proven experience in medical office settings with familiarity in outpatient, inpatient, or hospital environments Knowledge of dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or medical-surgical practices is highly desirable Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is required Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding and medical documentation standards Ability to perform phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs measurement and other clinical procedures accurately Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care delivery Basic life support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in hospital or trauma center experience are a plus Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and professional excellence.
