Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting as an integral team member under provider supervision. Performs clinical duties such as preparing patients, collecting vital signs, assisting with examinations, and supporting minor procedures. Manages laboratory specimens, conducts phlebotomy, and administers medications following established protocols. Handles administrative tasks including patient scheduling, documentation, referrals, billing, and patient education. Maintains a safe environment, sterilizes instruments, and ensures infection control. Supports clinic operations by inventory management and assisting with staff orientation. Communicates effectively with patients and providers to ensure quality care and efficient workflow.

Qualifications & Skills:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with certification from recognized governing bodies (NHA, AMT, AAMA, etc.). Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma medical assistant program preferred. Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to perform technical procedures and support patient safety. Knowledge of electronic medical records, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
