Family Medical Care is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our office in New Wilmington, PA. We are a busy family practice that compassionately cares for patients of all ages. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to excellence in healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient consultations and procedures. Take vital signs, record medical histories, and accurately document patient information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Administer first aid and basic life support (CPR) when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times. Conduct triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on urgency and symptoms. Handle medical records with confidentiality, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical documentation practices. Assist with emergency care procedures as needed, including acute care interventions and emergency response coordination. Skills Proficiency in medical software, EMR/EHR management, and medical documentation systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and nursing principles. Experience in triage, chronic disease management, and acute care environments. Ability to perform first aid, CPR, and basic life support confidently in urgent situations. Familiarity with health regulations and policies, such as HIPAA, to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations. Leadership experience in nursing or healthcare settings is a plus for team collaboration and supervisory roles.
