Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN Position Summary The Medical Assistant (MA) supports providers in delivering high-quality, efficient care in a walk-in clinic environment. The MA assists with clinical procedures, patient intake, diagnostic testing, and administrative support while ensuring a positive patient experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Patient Care Greet and room patients

Obtain and document vital signs, allergies, medications, and medical history

Perform point-of-care testing (rapid strep, flu, COVID, UA, pregnancy test)

Perform EKGs and basic screenings

Assist with minor procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care)

Administer injections and vaccines per protocol

Collect specimens and prepare for lab processing Administrative Support Document in EMR accurately and timely

Process prescriptions and refill requests

Maintain exam room cleanliness and stocking

Clean and disinfect medical equipment

Assist with phone triage (non-clinical) Compliance Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)

Follow OSHA safety guidelines

Adhere to clinic protocols and standing orders Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required

Medical Assistant training program required Certification CMA, RMA, or CCMA preferred

BLS certification required Experience 1+ year of clinical experience preferred

Willing to consider newly graduate Medical Assistants with less than 1 year experience

Primary Care, Urgent Care or Health System Clinical experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong customer service skills

Ability to work in fast-paced environment
