Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Certified or Registered Medical Assistant Position:

Purpose of Job:
The Certified Medical Assistant enjoys working in an office setting, can manage the fast pace of Family Practice, and is interested in enhancing the patient experience within our offices. Job duties include, but are not limited to, patient intake, recording vital signs and the patients' reason for visit, addressing patient care gaps within established standards of care, administering vaccines, and helping patients coordinate care. Additional duties of advanced candidates may include prior authorizations for prescription medications and advanced imaging studies, telephonic nursing, and episodic care management.
Essential Functions:
Direct patient care Collect vital signs and escort patients to an exam room Review and verify medications with patients Administer vaccines and other injectables Perform testing as needed (EKG, Point of Care testing) Provide patient education as directed by the provider team Document patient information in the electronic health record Manage the patient experience while the patient is receiving care.
Education:
Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant Must maintain active certification from National Health Association, American Association of Medical Assistance, or Registered by
American Registered Technologists Experience:
Prefer 1 year experience, but not required
Other Skills:
