Job Description

Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team at our Waymart Pediatric Center . The role focuses on delivering outstanding patient care while efficiently managing the administrative and operational tasks of the medical office. WMCHC Medical Assistant:
Answer phones in a timely, professional manner. Forward calls or takes detailed messages as appropriate. Demonstrate proper and accurate charting of patients and procedures. Demonstrate effective knowledge of medical terminology and medical abbreviations. Cooperatively assist doctor with office exams and procedures. Demonstrate bandaging skills. Demonstrate knowledge of basic first aid. Appropriately perform/demonstrate knowledge and/or use of vitals, exam room preparation, medical/surgical aseptic techniques, patients' rights and ethics, venipuncture, collecting specimens, etc. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Graduate from an approved Medical Assistant Education program Certified or Registered MA or equivalent credential Prior Medical Assistant experience highly preferred
