The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings, including Plastic Surgery, outpatient surgery center, and office based medicine. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and performing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences and supporting healthcare providers. Duties Assist healthcare professionals in patient examinations and procedures. Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients throughout their visit and care process. Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting medical histories. Utilize EHR systems for patient documentation and management. Conduct basic life support measures when necessary. Prepare patients for outpatient surgery. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Ensure compliance with medical terminology, ICD coding, and documentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment. Requirements Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within healthcare settings such as clinics or hospitals is a plus. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient management. Basic life support certification is a plus. Experience in handling patients across different age and ethnic groups. Ability to perform intake procedures including vital signs monitoring and documentation. Previous experience in a surgical setting is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
