Job Description:
- A Medical Assistant in Grand Junction, CO has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs. A Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
Shift Details:
- Monday - thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (will work 4 - 10 hour shifts a week) holidays off

- Wellington Neurosurgery, Grand Junction, CO

- Wellington Neurosurgery is a surgical specialty office that sets the bar high in the care we offer. The MA position for our office is more clerical and detail oriented. Providing Patient Care:
- Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient's visit and condition. +
Effective Communication:
- Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions. +
Team Collaboration:
- Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.
- Minimum Qualifications
- + Current American Heart Association (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date +
- This position requires one of the following:
- Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- _OR_
- at least one year of Medical Assistant work experience
- _OR_
- current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state of Colorado + Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.

Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.Location:
