Job Description

Davam Family Medicine is seeking a Front Desk Team Member & Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a hybrid position that requires excellent customer services skills at the Front Desk, as well as providing support to our medical team as a medical assistant. Duties Front Desk Duties Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Handle patient registration and check-in/check-out processes efficiently. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries. Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries. Collect patient balances and outstanding payments due at the time of visit. Coordinate referrals to specialists and obtain necessary authorizations. Manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area. Medical Assistant Duties Room patient in an examination room. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies. Take vital signs and record patient information accurately in electronic medical records. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with specimen collection as needed. Required Qualities Certified as a Medical Assistant. Previous experience working in a medical office setting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (EMR) and basic computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a team environment.
