Job Description:
- The Mobility Assistant aids in safe patient transfers, mobility and exercise using approved assistive devices, lifts, and procedures under the supervision of nursing or therapy staff.

- + Ensures patient safety by properly executing mobility plans and standard procedures, using appropriate equipment and methods for patient transfer, mobility, and exercise.

St. Mary's Healthcare, Grand Junction, CO- Minimum Qualifications
- + Successfully complete the mobility assistant training program and receive sign-off on competencies/audited skills within two (2) weeks of hire. + Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers within two (2) weeks of hire.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Enrolled in a pre-healthcare professional curriculum, RN, CNA, PT, OT, COTA, or PTA program within a CTE high school medical pathway program or other. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers + Demonstrated experience working or volunteering in a customer service or patient facing role.
- Physical Requirements
- + Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
