We are looking for a certified medical assistant to perform multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes who assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. - Kershaw Health Primary Care Camden Pay Rate Type Hourly Pay Grade Health-21 Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Work Shift Job Description What You'll Do As a Certified Medical Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating an exceptional experience for every patient by: ✔ Welcoming and interviewing patients while gathering medical history. ✔ Measuring and documenting vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight. ✔ Preparing treatment rooms and assisting providers during patient examinations. ✔ Maintaining accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record. ✔ Delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring comfort, privacy, and professionalism. ✔ Communicating effectively with patients, providers, and fellow team members. ✔ Maintaining annual competencies and supporting a safe, efficient clinical environment. ✔ Performing additional duties as assigned to support the success of the practice. Additional Job Description What We're Looking For Education & Experience ✔ High school diploma or equivalent required. ✔ Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred. ✔ One year of patient care experience preferred. Required Certifications Candidates must hold one of the following certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Through one of these nationally recognized organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) MedCA National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Additional Requirements ✔ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. ✔ Strong computer skills. ✔ Excellent written and verbal communication. ✔ Ability to accurately observe patients and follow detailed clinical procedures.
