This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical skills, medical knowledge, and administrative expertise to support physicians and enhance patient experiences. Whether working in outpatient clinics, hospital environments, or specialized units, you will be at the forefront of patient interaction, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality care delivery. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and geriatrics. Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with diagnostic tests like phlebotomy and specimen collection. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, medical histories, medication lists, and treatment plans. Support medication administration under supervision, including handling pharmaceuticals in compliance with safety protocols and pharmacology guidelines. Perform basic life support (BLS) procedures and respond effectively to emergency situations within hospital or outpatient settings. Coordinate patient intake processes, verify insurance information, update medical records, and facilitate smooth patient flow through the clinic or hospital department. Maintain medical supplies inventory, ensure cleanliness of clinical areas, and adhere to infection control standards in accordance with healthcare regulations. Experience Proven experience working in medical office environments with a strong foundation in medical terminology, documentation practices, and EMR/EHR management. Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient assessment and treatment procedures. Experience with ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to support accurate billing and recordkeeping. Familiarity with hospital settings including Level I trauma centers or Level II trauma centers is a plus; PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) or OR (Operating Room) experience is advantageous. Ability to perform phlebotomy confidently and handle medication administration safely in accordance with clinical protocols. Strong understanding of medical records management systems (EMR/EHR), ensuring compliance with privacy laws and documentation standards.
