Job Description

Medical Assistant - Full-Time We are seeking a dependable, knowledgeable, and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join our internal medicine practice. We are looking for someone with strong clinical skills who is comfortable working directly with patients and assisting the physician and clinical team. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, organized, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a busy medical office. Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30
PM Full-time:
40 hours per week 30-minute unpaid lunch Responsibilities Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs Review and document patient medications Assist with medication reconciliation Administer injections as directed Perform EKGs Assist with patient intake and clinical rooming Obtain and document patient histories and relevant information Understand and accurately document diagnosis/ICD-10 codes Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist the physician with clinical needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Communicate professionally and courteously with patients Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical area Work closely with the entire office team to provide excellent patient care Perform other clinical and office duties as needed Qualifications Previous Medical Assistant experience required Primary care or internal medicine experience preferred Strong knowledge of common medications and their uses Experience taking and documenting vital signs Experience administering injections Experience performing EKGs Familiarity with ICD-10/diagnosis coding Strong clinical and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail Professional communication and patient-service skills Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and willing to help wherever needed Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office What We Are Looking For We are looking for a true team player who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, understands the importance of accuracy and follow-through, and is willing to step in and help wherever needed.
