Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Seaside Dermatology | Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 $14-$18 per hour | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | No Weekends 100% Employer-Paid Medical & Dental Insurance | Retirement Benefits | Paid Time Off Seaside Dermatology is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dermatology practice in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. We are looking for a dependable, professional, and compassionate individual who takes pride in providing exceptional patient care and wants to develop specialized skills in medical and surgical dermatology. Previous dermatology experience is preferred but not required. We provide hands-on training for the right candidate, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. As a CMA at Seaside Dermatology, you will work directly with our dermatology providers while gaining experience in medical, surgical, and procedural dermatology.

Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients and obtaining accurate medical histories and medication lists Preparing patients and examination rooms for dermatologic evaluations and procedures Assisting providers with skin examinations, biopsies, excisions, and other dermatologic procedures Preparing and assisting with local anesthetic injections, including lidocaine Performing suture removal, wound care, and dressing changes as directed Providing patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions Preparing, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments and procedure areas Accurately documenting patient information in the electronic medical record Assisting with prescription requests, laboratory results, pathology follow-up, and patient communications Maintaining clinical supplies and ensuring examination and procedure rooms are properly stocked Following HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and patient-safety requirements Assisting providers and clinical staff to maintain an efficient patient schedule and excellent standard of care What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be: A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or medical assistant with an appropriate recognized certification Professional, dependable, and punctual Compassionate and comfortable working directly with patients Organized with excellent attention to detail Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting An effective communicator with patients, providers, and coworkers Comfortable learning hands-on clinical and procedural skills Motivated to develop expertise in dermatology Willing to take initiative and contribute to the efficiency of the practice Previous experience in dermatology, plastic surgery, outpatient surgery, or another procedure-oriented specialty is a plus but not required. Pervious experience working with electronic health record system EMA is also a plus but not required. Why Seaside Dermatology?
