Job Description
Key Responsibilities Intake patients by verifying history, recording symptoms, and taking vital signs (blood pressure, weight, temperature). Administer injections and medications, perform venipuncture (phlebotomy) for lab work, and conduct point-of-care tests including EKGs, spirometry, and rapid flu/strep tests. Prepare patients for exams, assist providers with office procedures, and handle referral processing. Monitor and restock medical supplies, place reorders, verify shipments, and perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on clinical equipment. Maintain strict HIPAA patient confidentiality, enforce health and safety protocols, and follow federal, state, and facility regulations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Active Medical Assistant Certification ( CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA ).
